Changelog¶
Current development snapshot — Patch 292¶
20 August 2026
Patch 292 is the current full-handover baseline and is functionally identical to Patch 291. It includes three focused Driver dialog and enclosure-model improvements made after the previous Patch 288 baseline.
Driver & enclosure improvements¶
- The Driver Parameters dialog now enables enclosure fields according to the selected enclosure type. Irrelevant values are disabled but retained, so switching between enclosure types is non-destructive.
- Bass-reflex tube diameter and tube length are now bidirectionally linked. Either value can be edited, and KFilter6 calculates the other analytically from
VbandFb. Qlnow affects sealed-enclosure damping in the simplified SPL path, full-circuit SPL path and impedance model. Vented and band-pass behaviour is unchanged, and Open Baffle remains independent ofQl.
Project and driver file formats remain unchanged:
.kfpproject format v10.kfdcomplete driver-slot format v2- tube diameter remains the persisted tube dimension; tube length remains derived
Other notable capabilities represented by this snapshot include:
- versioned JSON
.kfpproject format v10 with legacy project loading - complete
.kfddriver-slot format v2 - measurement correction and FRD export
- complex active-filter processing
- Baffle / Diffraction with finite-piston averaging and left/right 45° chamfers
- width-anchored low-frequency production blend for rectangular diffraction
- experimental Floor Reflection stage
- interactive Network Preview
- project PDF export
Internal maintenance milestone¶
The maintenance series leading to Patch 288 replaced the historical flat passive-network array with a structured private eight-section model and completed the encapsulation of driver state and response caches.
These changes are primarily maintainability work and are not intended to alter saved project semantics or established simulation results.
